Open a Weebly account (it’s free). Then, choose a topic from Opposing Viewpoints (http://ic.galegroup.com/ic/ovic/?p=OVIC&u=lawr84795). Your task is to construct a web site that faithfully represents both sides of a contentious issue. I should not be able to detect bias in your site.
Your site should include a minimum of four pages: an introductory page, one page per side of the issue (be aware there may be more than two sides to issues!), and a bibliography page that lists sources used for content. You may not copy and paste information; keep quotes integrated to a minimum, and be sure to credit every quote used. Plagiarism is no joke. (20 points for quality of content)
You must include a minimum of 8 images or pieces of multimedia throughout your site. (4 points)
Your site should be well organized, visually attractive, and free of grammatical/mechanical errors. (6 points)
Please decide on a web site address and share it with me via email ([email protected]) by the end of class on Wednesday. I should be able to navigate to your site and see 90 minutes’ worth of work on it. Work time today is worth 10 points out of the 40 overall, in order to keep students accountable while I have a sub.
